Connection Check pings a user defined set of hosts on the internet to find
out if they are up and running. It can also be used to check whether
your Internet connection is up. The pings can start automatically at
program startup, they can be repeated at a given period of time and the
program can be set up to exit automatically after a certain period of
time. Other features include playing different sounds on successful or
failed pings and an error log. Every feature can be configured
individually. Convenience was the main goal while developing the
Connection Check program. |

Magenta Systems File Transfer Components |
Size: |

Author: |
Angus Robertson - Magenta Systems Ltd |
|
Magenta Systems File Transfer Components comprise three Delphi components,
TMagFtp , TMagHttp and TMagFileCopy , the first two of which are high level
descendants of the ICS TFtpClient and THttpCli components, all allowing
transfer of multiple files and subdirectories with a single function call.
The three components handle file listing from FTP, HTTP and disk volumes,
and multiple file copying. They also include optional zipping or unzipping
(requires TVCLZip component). There are numerous options available,
including copying only newer files, deleting old target files, deletion
after transfer, resumed failed FTP downloads, and a progress events with
various levels of information for logging or display, depending upon
application requirements that allows transfers to be cancelled.
The components are undocumented, except for source code comments and a
simple demonstration program that illustrates all major functionality. End
user help is available describing most of the functionality in Magenta
Systems DUN Manager application (from http://www.magsys.co.uk/dunman/),
look under Scheduled Task Properties, FTP General, FTP Common, FTP Upload,
FTP Download. HTTP Download and Sync Files. DUN Manager also provides a
compiled test application for the components, using all functions (but DM
source code is not available).
There are also a number of supporting functions in the package, including
MagWMI which allows access and update of windows system information using
Windows Management Instrumentation. MagWMI provides general view access
to any WMI information using SQL like commands, and also a number of
dedicated function relating to TCP/IP configuration, such as setting the
adaptor IP addresses, and the computer name and domain/workgroup. There
are also some examples for getting BIOS and disk drive information using
WMI, and also a method using SMART for getting disk information since WMI
has limitations on Windows 2000. A demo program illustrates the use of
all the functions.
The Magenta Systems File Transfer Components are copyright Magenta Systems
Ltd, England, 2004, but may be used freely by anyone that has registered
the Magenta TMagRas Delphi components or who has financially contribute to
the development of the SSL version of the Internet Component Suite (ICS-SSL).
The source code must never be distributed, it is only available from password
protected areas at Magenta Systems and
ICS-SSL website.

IPHELP.ZIP contains an Internet Helper (iphelp.h) API translation,
implementation and demo program. It was originally written by
Dirk Claessens but was last updated by
Angus Robertson to correct various
bugs and load the functions dynamically. These APIs work primarily on
Win98, ME, 2K and XP, some work on NT4, none work on Win95. They allow
many low level TCP/IP parameters and interfaces to be accessed, including
dynamically allocated DNS IP addresses, performance statistics for each
network adaptor, and much else. Run the demo program to see all the
information accessed by the IP Helper library. The zip also includes some
functions to get DNS addresses from Win95 and NT4, by parsing the output of
winipcfg.exe and ipconfig.exe. |

Jaadu is a Delphi component that adds Web Server functionalities
into your applications quickly and easily.
Jaadu is a solution for Borland Delphi developers who require
rapid implementations of WEB applications without wanting to deal with the
individual nuances and limitations of using CGI-shell, win-CGI, ISAPI,
and/or NSAPI progamming techniques.
The Jaadu server component works as a Multi-Threaded HTTP Server and
programming gateway in and of itself. Jaadu is seemlessly integrated with
Delphi's native web applicaiton development tools. As a Jaadu developer, you
are able to fully exploit Delphi's built in web technologies such as the
WebDispatcher, PageProducer, TableProducer, QueryTableProducer components.
